Jake is not keen to get a boring job to get money when he has a friend who will pay for what he wants. But then things change, and if he wants to be in on what should be the best summer fun ever, fixing up a car and then driving it round a paddock, he will have to get a job of some kind to pay his share of the costs. It was interesting to see how things changed during the holidays, and I was keen to read right to the end. I really liked this book. It is easy to read and fast-moving and I can relate to the characters, especially Jake.
Who would enjoy this? If you like cars, or wonder about what life will be like out of school then you should like this book.
